Davao City — October 14–15, 2024
Adventist Hospital Davao (AHD) conducted its Strategic Planning Session on October 14–15, 2024, at Monte Ana Haven in Marilog, Davao City. The two-day activity focused on reviewing the hospital’s current performance and setting strategic priorities for the next five years.
The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Roy Perez, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Adventist International Health System Philippines, Inc. (AIHSPI). With a structured and results-oriented approach, Mr. Perez helped guide AHD’s leadership team through key planning exercises that emphasized alignment with institutional goals and mission.
As part of the methodology, the group applied the Six Thinking Hats technique developed by Dr. Edward de Bono. This framework encouraged participants to examine issues from multiple perspectives: analytical, emotional, creative, and objective, resulting in a more comprehensive and collaborative planning process.
Participants noted that the use of the Six Thinking Hats method was not only engaging but also enhanced the overall quality of discussion and decision-making throughout the session.
The event was also supported by Dr. Jonathan Casio, AHD President, who provided direction and facilitated dialogue among department heads and managers. The planning session underscored the hospital’s commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and faith-based healthcare delivery.
Through initiatives like this, AIHSPI continues to provide leadership support and strategic guidance to its network of hospitals, strengthening mission alignment and institutional development across the Philippine Adventist healthcare system.
