Cebu City - June 5, 2025

AIHSPI’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Roy Perez, joined fellow healthcare leaders and nurses across the region at the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) Nursing Conference held on June 3–4, 2025, in Cebu City.

On the second day of the event, Mr. Perez was invited to deliver the morning devotional message, titled:
“TRIAGE: A Sacred Pattern for Nurses as Essential Catalysts of Resilience, Renewal, and Wholistic Healing.”

In his message, Mr. Perez reflected on the deep spiritual and practical calling of nurses in today’s complex healthcare landscape. Drawing from the concept of “triage” not only as a clinical tool but as a spiritual metaphor, he emphasized how nurses play a vital role in discerning priorities, offering compassion under pressure, and becoming agents of healing and hope in both hospital wards and patients’ lives.

He encouraged attendees to embrace their mission not just as a profession, but as a sacred ministry of service, especially in times of crisis and recovery. His devotional resonated deeply with participants, highlighting the intersection of faith, clinical excellence, and compassionate care —core values shared throughout the Adventist Health network.

The SSD Nursing Conference brought together Adventist nursing leaders from various institutions across the Southern Asia-Pacific region to share best practices, foster collaboration, and deepen their spiritual commitment in the field of nursing.

AIHSPI is honored to be part of this continuing movement to uplift and empower nurses as frontline instruments of Christ-centered healing.
