Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City — November 28, 2024
Adventist International Health System Philippines, Inc. (AIHSPI) continues to extend its commitment to leadership development beyond healthcare, as CEO Mr. Roy Perez was invited to speak at Canitoan National High School’s In-Service Training (INSET) held on November 28, 2024.
The event gathered faculty members from Canitoan National High School, along with participating educators from San Simon, for a day of professional and personal growth. Mr. Perez’s session focused on the value of open-mindedness and the power of rethinking, drawing insights from renowned organizational psychologist Adam Grant’s book The Power of Rethinking.
In his message, Mr. Perez encouraged educators to embrace curiosity, adaptability, and intellectual humility: key traits that shape transformative leaders and lifelong learners. His presentation aimed to inspire reflection on traditional perspectives and foster a growth mindset among teachers as they engage with today’s dynamic educational landscape.
“This invitation was an honor,” Mr. Perez shared. “It was a privilege to contribute to the INSET journey of our teachers and offer ideas that I hope were both meaningful and practical.”
Through engagements like this, AIHSPI continues to support value-based leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and capacity-building initiatives that uplift not only healthcare institutions but also the broader community.
