Adventist Medical Center Manila —   June 28, 2024

Hospital leaders from across the Adventist healthcare network convened on June 28, 2024, at Adventist Medical Center Manila for an orientation on the PhilHealth Konsulta Package, organized by the Adventist International Health System Philippines, Inc. (AIHSPI).

The session was led by Dr. Sarah Casio, Konsulta Package Team Leader of Adventist Hospital Davao, who provided an in-depth overview of the government’s Konsulta initiative, designed to improve access to primary healthcare services and support institutional sustainability.

Attendees included key representatives from Adventist Hospital Davao, Northern Luzon Adventist Hospital, Adventist Medical Center Iligan, and AMC Manila. Also in attendance was AIHSPI President and CEO, Mr. Roy G. Perez, whose presence underscored the organization's commitment to capacity-building and policy alignment across its network.

The orientation explored the practical benefits of implementing the Konsulta Package, including:

  • Improved healthcare access for underserved and vulnerable sectors
  • Financial stability through predictable reimbursements
  • Early detection and prevention of diseases
  • Enhanced patient retention and continuity of care

The event fostered meaningful discussions on how Adventist hospitals can strategically adopt the Konsulta model while remaining true to their mission of compassionate, Christ-centered service.

Through initiatives like this, AIHSPI continues to lead efforts in strengthening collaboration, strategic alignment, and mission integration across its member institutions, ensuring they remain responsive to community health needs and aligned with national healthcare priorities.
